Our Vision Statement:Church Sign

"To Know Christ and Make Him Known"

Our Purpose Statement:

The purpose of Mayflower Congregational Church is:

  • To bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ through worship; service; growth in our faith; and knowledge of God's Word, the Holy Bible
  • To believe in the truth of the Gospel
  • To share that knowledge with others for the sake of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power
and glory.

We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present evil world.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers of Christ.

Pastor John Dale came to Mayflower Congregational Church in 2004. It has been his desire to help the church connect with the youth and families of Kingston, and to be a congregation the community can relate to. He and his wife Kathy (a teacher at Good Shepherd Christian Academy) have two adult children - a daughter and a married son. Pastor Dale loves music, reading, and technology.
